Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 August 2026

Workman's Desk is built to be a private study. This page explains what we collect, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how to reach us about privacy or deletion.

What we collect

  • Account information: your name (if provided), email address, sign-in method and authentication records.
  • Ministry content you create: sermons, Bible studies, lesson content, manuscripts, notes, illustrations, quotations, tags, series and calendar plans.
  • Subscription records: plan, status (trialing, active, past due, canceled) and renewal dates.
  • Basic technical data needed to operate and secure the service, such as error reports and request logs.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Card numbers and payment credentials are entered directly with Stripe and are never stored on our servers. We retain only the identifiers and subscription status needed to know whether your account has access, and Stripe’s handling of payment data is governed by its own privacy policy.

Your ministry content is private to your account

Your content is visible to your authenticated account only, unless you intentionally share or export it. It is not published, not sold, and not used to train third-party AI models. Access is enforced at the database level so one account cannot read another’s work.

A small number of authorised operators may access content only when strictly necessary to investigate a fault or a security issue you have reported.

How we use your data

  • To provide the service: storing, searching and displaying your library, studies and plans.
  • To power features you invoke — for example sending the passage or notes you are working on to our AI provider to return questions and research prompts.
  • To manage subscriptions, trials, billing status and complimentary access.
  • To secure, maintain, debug and improve the service.
  • To send essential service messages, such as account, billing or security notices.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not use your ministry content for advertising.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors to run the service: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, and AI model providers for the study features. Each receives only what is needed to perform its function, and each is bound to handle it on our instructions.

Retention

We keep your account and content while your account exists. If paid access ends, your content is retained and stays readable rather than being deleted, so you never lose your work — see the Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your content within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for tax, accounting or legal reasons.

Your choices and requests

You can review and edit your content in the app at any time. You may also ask us to provide a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and its content. Write to daryl@rayofhopeministryrelief.org from the email address on your account and we will respond as promptly as we reasonably can.

Children

Workman’s Desk is intended for adults in ministry and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted here with a new “last updated” date. Material changes affecting how we use your content will be communicated to you.
