Terms of Service
Last updated 23 August 2026
These terms govern your use of Workman's Desk, a private study and ministry workspace operated by Ray of Hope. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them.
1. Your account
You must provide accurate information when creating an account, keep your password confidential, and you are responsible for all activity that happens under your account. Accounts are for individual use; do not share your credentials. Tell us promptly at daryl@rayofhopeministryrelief.org if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission.
2. Subscriptions and free trials
- New accounts may begin with a 14-day free trial of the full workspace.
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you are not charged.
- After the trial, the subscription is $14.99 per month or $149 per year, as selected at checkout.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the then-current price until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time through Manage Subscription on the Billing page.
- Prices may change with reasonable advance notice; changes never apply to a period you have already paid for.
Cancellation and refund details are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service unlawfully, or to store or distribute unlawful, harassing or infringing material.
- Attempt to access another user's account, content or data.
- Probe, scrape, overload, reverse engineer or circumvent the security of the service.
- Resell, sublicense or provide the service to others as if it were your own.
- Use automated systems to extract the AI features or bulk-export the service's functionality.
4. Your content remains yours
Sermons, notes, lessons, manuscripts, illustrations, plans and everything else you create or upload remain your property. You grant us only the limited permission needed to host, process, back up and display that content so the service can work for you, including sending relevant portions to our AI providers when you use a study feature. We do not claim ownership of your ministry work and do not sell it.
5. AI-assisted features and their limits
Workman’s Desk is designed as a study partner, not a sermon writer. AI features ask questions, surface possibilities and help organise your research. They can be incomplete, mistaken, or out of date, and they are not a substitute for your own exegesis, judgment, pastoral care, or for legal, medical or financial advice.
You remain the author and are responsible for anything you preach, teach or publish. Verify every important claim, citation and reference in your own trusted resources before relying on it.
6. Cancellation and account closure
You may cancel your subscription or ask us to close your account at any time. Cancelling stops future renewals; access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for. When paid access ends, your existing ministry content is not deleted — creating, editing and AI features pause while your library, studies and plans stay readable.
7. Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that AI output will be accurate. Keep your own copies of work that matters to you.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ray of Hope and Workman’s Desk are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost ministry opportunity or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, creates legal risk, or is used to harm the service or other users. Where circumstances allow, we will give notice and a reasonable opportunity to export your content. You may stop using the service at any time.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “last updated” date, and continued use after that date means you accept the revised terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Ray of Hope operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
12. Contact
